The fourth draft poem for Matthew Sweeney's Guardian Unlimited workshop:
Just for the sake of recovering
I see no sense in bothering
with the writing or sending
of texts or an explanatory letter,
as things couldn’t be made any worse or better
by the words that locked these fetters.
